I noticed a dimple on this cam lobe. Could this be to hold oil, or to help turn the lifter? Or does this mean I will be needing a new cam soon? :-/

These appear to have been damaged during removal; the "hat" apparently caught on the O-ring and bent back the orifice plate. (Or whatever they're called; see for yourself)

Same flange, different angle. Fortunately, all these spots filled in nicely with JB Weld and an orbital sander, no leaks yet.
